Energy Efficiency

BRUN Building Technologies offers building materials with the highest insulation value per thickness on the market. Energy Efficiency has become a mandatory requirement for any construction project nowadays. Especially so after the “Accord de Paris” or Paris Agreement in 2015 within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The agreement was adopted by members of various governments with the main goal of reducing Greenhouse Gas Emission. Establishing that the fundamental starting point is to reduce energy consumption for heating during cold periods or for air conditioning during hot and humid conditions.

To meet these demands, both labels, Passive House and NETzero, have the similar goals, which are to reduce the building’s ecological footprint. The principal outcome is to build ultra-low energy demand buildings. The research is not only limited to residential construction, but also for commercial, institutional and industrial facilities applications. Passive and NETzero are design concepts can be applied principally in not only new buildings, but also used for refurbishments of building envelops. A Similar label in Switzerland’s MINERGIE-P design.
